The BS6 deadline is just around the corner and carmakers are hard at work updating their models before April 1. Manufacturers like BMW and Maruti Suzuki are also using this opportunity to update the designs of their cars, while Ford and Hyundai are introducing new engines for existing models. Here are the top BS6 cars that are set to be launched before April 1, 2020: Hyundai’s 2020 Creta, slated to launch on March 17, is one of the most-awaited SUVs this year. It’ll be based on the Kia Seltos and will utilise the same BS6-compliant powertrain options. The 115PS 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines will go on sale first, while the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit will join later. Other highlights include the Sensuous Sportiness design language and comparatively different interior design. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza BS6: Maruti Suzuki will launch the BS6-compliant Vitara Brezza by the end of February. It gets a cosmetic update, which freshens up its design. The updated SUV also comes with new features such as LED headlamps, tail lamps, and the updated Smartplay Studio infotainment system. But the main update is the new BS6-compliant 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine. Also new to the Vitara Brezza is a 4-speed torque converter automatic.
