Tata Motors has joined hands with Prakriti E-Mobility Private Limited to supply Tigor EVs in New Delhi. Prakriti E-Mobility Private Limited is an eco-friendly cab aggregator co-founded by Nimish Trivedi, Vikas Bansal and Rajeev Tiwari. Tata Motors will supply 500 Tigor EVs to Prakriti E-Mobility, with the first 160 cars expected to start service by January 20. The e-cab aggregator dispatches EV cabs across the Delhi/NCR region through its app called Evera.

The updated Tigor EV comes with an impressive range of 213km, while putting out 41PS of power and 105Nm of torque using a 21.5kWh battery pack. Tata’s latest electric car, the Nexon EV, promises an even better range of over 300km in one full charge.

“The induction of Tigor EVs will not only help the company achieve their business goals but also accomplish their objective of offering eco-friendly mobility solutions,” said Shailesh Chandra, President, Electric Mobility Business & Corporate Strategy, Tata Motors Ltd.

This move from Tata is a welcome change as commercial vehicles going electric is the first step towards green mobility. This will also reduce range anxiety in private users, encouraging them to make the switch to EVs.
