New Delhi: India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced a price hike for select models, effective from January 27, 2020, as claimed by the company in a release.

With this move, the select cars will be pricier by up to 4.7 per cent compared with their present pricing.

The market leader said that the rise in prices will be on Alto, WagonR, S-Presso, Swift, Ertiga. These models are sold across Arena and Nexa channels of the automaker.

The primary reason stated by the company is the increase in its input costs.

Maruti Suzuki also announced the launch of Alto BS-VI S-CNG in India on early Monday, available at a starting price of Rs 432,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
