While the AX variant can be had with a fixed soft top only, the other two variants are offered can be had with either a hard top or a convertible roof. Mind you, this ain’t a Porsche 911 and you need to do the work of dropping down the roof. The Thar also looks very appealing, courtesy its Jeep Wrangler-esque design. Sure, Mahindra has tried to differentiate it with a different grille design, but let’s admit the truth here. The Thar looks so appealing that almost everyone in the Zig Office aspires to own one. Even the interior is a huge step up from the previous-gen Thar. It’s also IP54 dust and water resistance, allowing you to clean it after a mudding session thanks to a drain plug in the floor area. Mind you, only the floor well is washable.
